“I never feel like I’ve done well enough,” he admits.

His father was a major inspiration, emphasizing fairness and expressing pride in Tater for stepping up as a father. Dewey Brazelton, a mentor in real estate, taught him strategies to get ahead in business and how to identify new opportunities. Mrs. Lee Dillon instilled in him the importance of perfection and attention to detail—traits that have become crucial in his business endeavors.
His wife, Sarah, has also played an instrumental role, offering support and guidance throughout his journey. When asked what advice he would give to those looking to follow in his footsteps, Tater’s response is clear:
“Start your own business as soon as you can. There’s never a perfect time, so don’t wait— take the leap and commit fully.”
He emphasizes the importance of persistence and hard work, believing that these qualities are key to success. Outside of his professional life, Tater is passionate about politics and is gearing up for a run for City Council in Orange Beach in 2025. He’s also a devoted Alabama football fan and enjoys working on home improvement projects to keep his space evolving. Looking ahead, Tater has ambitious goals for the next five years. He hopes to complete 10 more real estate flips, triple the revenue of his current business, expand to multiple locations, and travel to the five continents he has yet to visit. These aspirations reflect both his desire for continued professional growth and his passion for personal exploration.
