We’re sure you’ve heard the rumors, and we are here to tell you it’s true…
Shipp’s is coming back to Orange Beach.
The new restaurant, located in Orange Beach Marina, is going to be an interesting concept. Run by Matt Shipp and his daughter Kamila Albright, the new place is going to be called Shipp’s Dockside Grill. The plan is to make the downstairs counter service-appetizers, tapas, a raw bar, and the like-while the upstairs remains a full service restaurant.
Downstairs you will place your order at the counter, go hit one of the bars for your drink and then your food will be brought to you. Upstairs will be a casual upscale restaurant, with indoor dining by reservation and outdoor seating for walk-in patrons.
We have confirmed a few of the old local favorite dishes will be returning: Grouper Pontchartrain, sushi, the smoked tuna dip, and seared tuna will all be back. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates and a definitive opening date.
